Moda Mix Series 11: Groove Armada

Since launching a few months ago the Moda Mix Series has quickly developed into an unmissable collection of finely crafted, forward-thinking mixes, from some of the most exceptional talents in electronic music.

For the 11th episode we're extremely proud to be handing over the reigns to one of the biggest names in the game Groove Armada.

Jaymo & Andy George Podcast: 001

We very excited to announce that after about a million years of saying we're gonna start a Podcast, we've finally done just that. It's gonna be a monthly affair and allow us go off on tangents that don't' necessarily work on radio. We'll also use it as a means to road test demos, new stuff from friends and forthcoming Moda and Moda Black releases. For that reason we can't include a track list - but we're very excited to get your feedback, based entirely on the music itself!

Free Moda Ft Waifs & Strays

For all your dedication, all your dancing, all your beads of sweat.... we just wanted to say thanks.

Join us in the abandoned cellars (see below photos) for one last Moda rave before Ibiza claims our souls for yet another Summer.

We'll be joined by one of the hottest new names in house music Waifs & Strays

With killer releases on Jamie Jones' world dominating Hot Creations and Bristol's flawlessly wonderful Futureboogie, these boys have got it going on...

Toy Tigers: Two Tigers

For the last few months, I've been laying low in the long grass. And for good reasons… Aswell as slipping some new remixes under my belt, I've found the second member of Toy Tigers, in the form of Joel (Flights - you may remember him on Moda Volume 1?)  We're working on a whole load of new stuff, which we hope to be able to play you very soon. It could be an EP, it could be a string of Singles, we'll see where the wind blows!

Until then, here's our 2-Step Tweak of SBTRKT 's Hold On to keep you moving in the right direction!

We Love... Space Birthday Party

On August 12th we'll be celebrating the birthday of one of the best club nights in the world We Love... Space

Few memories sit quite so fondly as those made in the sprawling corridors and expansive rooms of Space. From the amazing Funktion 1 sound system, to the brilliantly diverse line-ups that remain true to their longstanding music policy. Yup, we're long time devotees of the We Love… experience.

Video: Punks Jump Up Feat Dave 1

Last week we gave you the mixes, now we bring you the sick new video for Mr Overtime directed by Maxime Bruneel:

Yes List: Wolf Music

A few months ago we received a promo from Wolf Music. In a world of expensive publicity campaigns, over the top PhotoShoppery and hologram rappers this promo was as understated as they come. And that's exactly why it stood out.

The Wolf Music clan don't try hard, but they don't need to - their music does the talking. Although their releases are dripping with old skool textures and vintage warmth, their ideas are fresh and forward thinking.

Hot Since 82: Hurt You EP

We're absolutely chuffed about the love shown for our first release on Moda Black! We've had nice words about Hot Since 82 from Dubfire, Sasha, Lee Curtis, DJ T, Claude Von Stroke and many others.

You can now spend your pennies and buy the EP from Beatport, iTunes or Juno.

Moda Mix Series 10: Christian Martin

Many labels claim to be like a family, but few can say that with such sincerity Dirtybird. Not only are they threaded together by musical output, but you could be forgiven for thinking they've all been friends their entire lives. There's a mentality, a sense of humour, a decorum that they all share. Whilst the level of quality the label stands for is nothing short of immense, the artists themselves are some of the nicest folk in the game.

J&AG Pres. Essential Selection

Covering for Pete Tong is always a daunting task, but one that we'll never tire of. If two hours of super fresh house and disco sounds good to you, then click the below link to listen again.

We caught up with Crosstown Rebel's newcomer Amirali, passed Justin Martin the award for Essential New Tune and dropped exclusive firsts from Eats Everything, Behling & Simpson and Basement Jaxx.

Punks Jump Up Feat Dave 1: Mr Overtime

Our friends at Too Many Sebastians & Stoney Roads premiered two new mixes of the next Moda Music release this week.

As big Chromeo fans, we're chuffed to be releasing the new Punks Jump Up single with Dave 1 on the vocal.

New Release: Axel Le Baron

It must be two years since we first became friends with the guys at Darling Records. Our shared passion for seminal French house music, samples and loops meant we've always had a lot to talk about.

As soon as we clapped ears on Axel Le Baron's Primary School we knew we needed to coax an EP out of him… and finally the time has come!

Fresh, French and full of funk - Axel has delivered four filtered jams that will keep the Crydafreaks bumpin' all Summer long.

Kitsuné Easter Party

Say a prayer for your sanity, for the forthcoming Easter weekend is looking to be something of a big one, culminating the massive Sunday night party at Heaven in London.

We'll be bringing the house and disco vibes, alongside our good friends The Magician, Russ Chimes and Punks Jump Up and loads more.

We Love... Space Opening Fiesta 2012

We're very happy to announce that we'll once again be residents at We Love… Space this Summer. As long term devotees to this Ibizan Sunday institution, becoming residents there has meant a lot to us.

Moda Black

2012 is shaping up to be a a really big year for Moda - over the coming weeks and months we'll be hitting you with some rather large announcements. Here comes the first….
