Since launching in October 2006 Moda has exploded onto the music scene, receiving big love from both sides of the DJ booth. With a habit for selling-out venues & attracting crowds from all over the country, Moda has quickly established itself as a key launch pad for the world’s coolest bands & DJ’s.
Moda’s iconic styling is matched only by the cutting-edge sounds that resonate from within each and every party- a policy that created the unique house-party atmosphere that prompted Radio 1’s Kissy Sell Out to nominate Moda as his favourite new club on 2008.
From humble beginnings in to a dimly lit bar to the now colossal 1600 person warehouse parties- Moda has become one of the UK’s most formidable clubbing destinations. Previous guests range from DJ’s such as Annie Mac, Fake Blood & Simian Mobile Disco to bands like Little Boots, Calvin Harris & Klaxons.
Add to that a bespoke Funktion 1 sound system & eye-popping visuals & lighting (from the same company that light Manchester’s Warehouse Project!) and you begin to understand why Moda has gained so much kudos.
In Mixmag’s review of 2008, Moda was named ‘4th Best UK Club Night’. Since then it has expanded even further, with a string of London parties, a national tour, a residency in Ibiza & the birth of the Moda Music record label.
As well as hosting amazing events, Moda’s Jaymo & Andy George continue to push boundaries with their Radio 1 show, whilst Tom Staar has just put out his debut original EP, quickly grabbing the attention of the scenes coolest heads!
As the Moda Movement fast approaches light-speed its hard to predict what the next 12 months may have in store, but the one thing we can be sure of is that Moda is bigger, brighter & louder than ever before!
