Many labels claim to be like a family, but few can say that with such sincerity Dirtybird. Not only are they threaded together by musical output, but you could be forgiven for thinking they've all been friends their entire lives. There's a mentality, a sense of humour, a decorum that they all share. Whilst the level of quality the label stands for is nothing short of immense, the artists themselves are some of the nicest folk in the game.
With the meteoric rise of Eats Everything in 2011 and the imminent dropping of the amazing Justin Martin album you might be wondering what else Claude has got under his wings… Step forward Christian Martin.
First making his way into our ears as one half of Martin Brothers (alongside his brother Justin), Christian's forays have lead him to fondle with the likes of Chromeo, Riva Staar and Underworld from a remix prospective, as well as releasing original joints on Trapez, Anabatic and Db itself.
And if the bowel shaking bass movements of Christian Martin don't quite mangle your insides, then perhaps you might care for some Peppers of the Leroy variety? This being his brand new alias, sliding slightly closer to his Hip Hop influences.
Whichever side of this Westcoast bass merchant you plump for, expect a face full of bonafide sub-frequencies that will annihilate dancefloors and upset your neighbours.
Get amongst it!
