Taking off where ‘Peep Thong’ left us ‘Cyprus’ is just as disco orientated and its filtrated rhythms and looped up melodies will get anyone dancing. ‘Getaways’ harks back to days of watching 70s TV dramas yet when that fat kick drum and gorgeous groove get loose you’re brought back to modern times. ‘Nightflight’ brings us to a close but not without a parting gift, with some funky drums and big filtered basslines.   His Majesty Andre became an overnight sensation with the release of ‘Peep Thong,’ it went on to become a favourite in club sets and radio stations worldwide. “Nothing is created, nothing is destroyed, everything is transformed” is one of Andre’s favourite quotes. That’s why he feels it so natural to use samples, mash-up tracks and explore other musical genres to create something completely different which is completely apt for the summertime. He was named as a “one to watch” by Jaymo & Andy George in 2009 on their BBC Radio 1 show and so far Andre has also already remixed Congorock, Autokratz and Redman as well as collaborated with the Bloody Beetroots for the awesome ‘Puppets’.
